PRICE STABILISATION FUND TRUST
PRICE STABILISATION FUND TRUST |
was launched by Government of India along with NABARD in April 2003 against the backdrop of decline in international and domestic prices of tea, coffee, rubber and tobacco causing distress to primary growers. The Trust was re-registered for a further period of ten years beyond September 11, 2013 to September 11, 2023. The growers of these commodities were particularly affected due to substantial reduction in unit value realization for these crops, at times falling below their cost of production. Its logo has green leaf held by a hand symbolising the protecting and nurturing hand encircled by its name in Devanagari and English.
