The emblem of Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) features an image of the Goddess Saraswati referring to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom. The motif is surmounted by a partial gearwheel inscribed with the name of the managing Trust and supported by a banner, on which the name of the college is written. Below this assembly, a bridge, a computer, a pair of power symbols and a pair of laurels are placed. The year establishment of the college is written at the bottom. The laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.
