The book is ensconced by a yellow circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the circle, on a yellow banner, the tagline of the college ‘Lighted to Lighten’ is inscribed. The book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the candle symbolises life, memory, enlightenment, spiritual connection, passion, hope, and transformation; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes.
