The pentagon symbolises humanity's relationship with nature and the elements (earth, air, fire, water, and spirit); the lamp denotes light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.
