Bank Ltd. has a yellow panel holding the motifs of a poorna kumbha being presented by a pair of hands placed in a white circle surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मी: करमध्ये सरस्वती’ meaning ‘Lakshmi Resides at the Tip of the Hand Saraswati in the Middle of the Hand’ and supported by its year of inception. The name of the bank written in Devanagari is placed above these. The poorna kumbha symbolises the fullness or completeness of life is presented by the hands of the bank to its customers. The colour yellow signifies happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

VALLABHACHARYA TILAK The tilak of Vallbhacharyas is said to consist of two white lines down the forehead, forming a half-circle at its base and a white dot between them. Vallabhacharya (1479–1531 CE) was a devotional philosopher, who founded the Pushti sect in India, following the philosophy of ‘Shuddha Advaita’ (Pure Non-dualism). THE JAMMU & KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY India's first Light Infantry was born out of the peoples' response in 1947, to the invasion of Kashmir by Pakistan. In the difficult days of the invasion, the population formed local defence groups. These were later organised into militias responsible for specific sectors, e.g., Leh, Nubra, Jammu, Punch, etc. Over a period, these were grouped into the Militia battalions. Two of these were later converted into the Ladakh Scouts. The militia battalions operated with skill on the Line of Control (LoC) and in the 1971 Indo-Pak War earned three battle honours. In 1972, the militia battalions were brought on par with the army units, and in 1976 designated the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI). The 8th JAK LI earned great honour by capturing a Pakistani post at 21,000 feet at the Siachen Glacier in 1987.
