GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE RAKKAR (GDC RAKKAR)
The emblem of Government Degree College Rakkar (GDC Rakkar) features the motifs of a pair of green leaves supported on sides by blue and red abstract humans holding a rising yellow sun and supported by an open book. These are ensconced by an orangish yellow circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Devanagari and the year of establishment of the college. The motto of the college in Sanskrit from Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’ is written on a blue banner placed on the circle at the bottom. The book symbolises the foundation of formal education, academic learning and accessibility to knowledge for the local youth; the green leaves represent life, vitality, environment and organic growth, deeply reflecting the institution's commitment to nurturing students in a rural ecosystem; the sun signifies enlightenment, truth and the dispelling of ignorance; and the emerging human figures signify student growth, empowerment, and holistic development and their outstretched arms represent freedom, ambition and the pursuit of excellence.
