The emblem of Government Sanskrit College, Dangar (GSC Dangar) features an image of Goddess Saraswati ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment written in Devanagari and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘इयं ब्राह्मी सरस्वती’ (This phrase is derived from traditional Ayurveda and Sanskrit aphorisms, which equate the qualities of ‘Saraswati’ with those of herbs that enhance ‘Medha’ (intellect) - specifically ‘Brahmi’ (Bacopa monnieri)), which translates to ‘This is the Divine/Sacred Saraswati’. Goddess Saraswati is the God of knowledge, wisdom, music, arts, and learning. Saraswati signifies the invocation of supreme intellect, spiritual wisdom and the preservation of ancient literature. The veena represents the harmony of life, the tuning of the mind and the flow of creative energy and emotional intelligence; the hamsa (swan) symbolises viveka (discernment), purity and the capacity to filter true knowledge from ignorance; the lotus represents spiritual detachment, purity and supreme truth rising unstained above worldly distractions and the japamala (rosary) and palm-leaf manuscript represent concentration, meditation and spiritual practice, alongside.
