Pant Memorial Government College, Rampur Bushahr (GBPNGC Rampur Bushahr) features a circle housing a landscape of snow-capped green mountain range with peaks, orange rising sun and flowing water and an open book. The circle is supported by a base,on which the shorter name of the college is written. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge is the One That Liberates’ is written on a banner placed below the base. The snow-capped mountain peaks with flowing water represent the Himalayan geography of Rampur Bushahr; the sun symbolises the dawn of knowledge, enlightenment and the eradication of ignorance through higher education; and the book represents education, formal learning and the pursuit of wisdom.

The Sonki is a bright yellow wild bloom native to the high-altitude rocky plateaus and cold Himalayan mountain ranges and valleys of the Lahaul region. JAMIA HAMDARD The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, a well known practitioners of the unani system of medicine. He had a vision of making the practice of unani medicine into a scientific discipline so that it could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. He gave the name Hamdard to his venture which means ‘sympathy for all and sharing of pain’. His son, Hakeem Abdul Hameed, carried forward his father's philosophy. Its emblem is circular and green in colour with an open book in the middle of a pair of laurels crested by a star and crescent and supported by its name in Persian. The open book has the motto of the university in Persian ‘الكتاب والحكمة’ meaning ‘The Book and Wisdom’.
