MAHANAGAR TELEPHONE NIGAM LIMITED
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) was set up on April 1, 1986 by the Government of India to upgrade the quality of telecom services, expand the telecom network, introduce new services and to raise revenue for telecom development needs of India’s key metros - Delhi, the political capital and Mumbai, the business capital of India. MTNL has been given Navratna status in 1997 and was listed in New York Stock Exchange in 2001. Its green coloured logo has M, T, N and L depicted in the form of a dialing telephone with buttons. Its tagline is ‘Transparency Makes Us Different’.

Deriving inspiration from this noble ideal, Kalakshetra Foundation was established. Kalakshetra Foundation as it is known today was recognised by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1993 and is now an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The Graphic Era Educational Society (GEES) is a non-profit organisation. The emblem of the university has a gear wheel, which is half and half black carrying its motto ‘Transforming Dreams Into Reality’ on top and its name at the bottom. Within this the monogram of its acronym ‘GE’ is designed as a torch in orange and red.
