NAVA NALANDA MAHAVIHARA
In the early 1950s, in order to revive the lost glory and heritage of ancient Nalanda Mahavihara, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of the Republic of India, declared that the ancient seat of Buddhist learning at Nalanda would be revived. At the insistence of Ven. Bhikshu Jagdish Kashyap and with this goal in mind, the Government of Bihar established a research institute called ‘Magadh Institute of Post-Graduate Studies and Research in Pali and Allied Languages and Buddhist Learning’ at Nalanda in 1951. It later came to be known as Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (NNM). Its red colour emblem has an eight petalled lotus ‘Yantra’ on a pedestal supported on both sides by seated deer. The name of the institution in Devanagari is written below. All are placed in a circular housing.

Below the seal, on a light green banner, the motto of the college in Arabic ‘العِلْمُ مَقْرُونٌ بِالعَمَلِ’, which translates to ‘Knowledge is Tied / Linked to Action’. The book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lighted candle symbolises enlightenment and the removal of darkness (ignorance), representing how knowledge guides a student's path and spreads light into society; and the colour green refers to the college’s Islamic orientation.

INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES (JAMMU IDS JAMMU) The red and black emblem of Institute of Dental Sciences (Jammu IDS Jammu) features a shield inscribed with the housing the motifs of a mountain range, a molar tooth, an open book and a pair of Rods of Asclepius. The shield is surmounted by a banner inscribed with the name and place of the college. MANIPUR TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY The Manipur Technical University (MTU) is the first technical university of the State established on April 23, 2016. The circular emblem of the university has an orange eight toothed gear wheel bearing the university’s name in Meiteilon ensconcing the motifs of a pair of gear wheels, a student with mortarboard hat and a rising sun in the background of Kanglasha - Nongsaba, i.e. half lion and half dragon. NATIONAL BOOK TRUST OF INDIA The red circular emblem of National Book Trust of India (NBT) has an open book placed inside a circle from which the tree of knowledge grows. GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, PAMPORE (GDC PAMPORE) The emblem of Government Degree College, Pampore (GDC Pampore) features an open book supporting a blossoming flowers of saffron (Crocus sativus) lit by the radiant rays of yellow sun, ensconced by a maroon circular ribbon inscribed with the motor of the college ‘Enter to Bloom’ and in Arabic ‘مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ’, which translates to ‘From Darkness Into Light’.
