The blue emblem of National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology (NIANP) has three blue toned arrows forming an equilateral triangle, on which face of a cattle; three upward pointing arrows and its acronym ‘NIANP’ are placed. The shape represents constant action and continuous improvement and the motifs represent the domain of operations of the institute.

VALLABHACHARYA TILAK The tilak of Vallbhacharyas is said to consist of two white lines down the forehead, forming a half-circle at its base and a white dot between them. Vallabhacharya (1479–1531 CE) was a devotional philosopher, who founded the Pushti sect in India, following the philosophy of ‘Shuddha Advaita’ (Pure Non-dualism).
