DATA RANPAT DEV GROUP OF COLLEGES (DRD GROUP)

The blue colour emblem of Data Ranpat Dev Group of Colleges (DRD Group) features the Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined serpents supporting an open book and a golden rising sun. These are supported by a pair of laurels and the name of the place of the college. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), which translates to ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’  crests the sun. The name of the college surmounts the motifs and a pair of stars are placed on the sides. The Staff of Caduceus is a highly recognised symbol in modern healthcare and nursing education, historically associated with communication, balance and the facilitation of healing and it serves as an insignia for medical branches and nursing institutions across the globe. The book symbolises knowledge, learning and academic excellence; the sun symbolises enlightenment, wisdom and a bright future; the laurels are academic excellence, distinction, honours and a dedication to high professional standards in nursing education; and the stars symbolise excellence, high standards, and guiding aspirations for the students.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’.
