The emblem of Dev Bhumy Institute of Engineering & Technology (DBIET) features a shield housing a red banner inscribed with the name of the group of institutions, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), which translates to ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ and the name of the place of the college. The shield contains the motifs of two abstract humans in green and red with mortarboard hats, rising sun, a traditional lamp, an open book, an ink pot with a quill pen and flowing water. The shield symbolises strength, tradition, protection and a structured commitment to excellence. The human motifs symbolise student growth, personal empowerment and the ultimate achievement of graduation; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book is a universal symbol of knowledge, continuous learning and academic excellence; the ink pot with quill pen represent creativity, literature, critical thinking and the act of writing one's own destiny through education; the sun  stands for enlightenment, intellectual awakening and the dispelling of ignorance; and the flowing water symbolises constant change, life's journey, emotional release and spiritual purification.
