HIMACHAL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, SHAHPUR KANGRA (HIET)

The logo of Himachal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Shahpur Kangra (HIET) features a black circle housing a gearwheel inscribed with the name of the group of institutions. The circle inside the gearwheel features blue sky with white mountains, red and blue abstract motifs of humans and a green tree. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयं’ (Narayana Pandit, Hitopadehsa), which translates to ‘Knowledge Gives Humility’ is written below the gearwheel. The name of the managing group is written in black sans-serif letters on the right. The gearwheel symbolises engineering, technology, industry and progress; the pine tree alongside the mountain silhouette directly represents the natural geography of Himachal Pradesh, which is known for its Himalayan ranges and coniferous forests; and the human figures represent community, growth, teamwork and holistic human development.
