POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION OF UTTARAKHAND

Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited is the power transmission utility of the state of Uttarakhand formerly known as Uttaranchal. The State of Uttaranchal in exercise of the power granted to it under section 63(4) of the State Reorganisation Act, 2000, formed two separate companies in the power sector- Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. – For generation of Hydro electricity in the state and Uttaranchal power Corporation Ltd. – For transmission and distribution of electricity in the state. A new company by the name and style of Power Transmission Corporation of Uttaranchal Ltd. was created to handle power transmission business and registered as a Government company on May 27, 2004, under section 617 of companies Act, 1956. Its greenish circular logo has a transmission tower in the backdrop of Himalayan mountains. On each side of the tower a stroke of lightning emanates. Below these motifs, its acronym ‘PTCUL’ is placed.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. RAJENDRA UNIVERSITY Rajendra University, Balangir, recognized by UGC as a State Public University, owes its origin to an Intermediate college setup in Balangir in 1944 by Maharaja Rajendra Narayan Sighdeo, the then ruler of the erstwhile Patna State and one of the former Chief Ministers of Odisha. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons. The recycle emblem and the graduate are separated by a pair of downward flowing ribbons. Below the gear, the year of establishment of the university is written.
