INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION

Headquartered in Bengaluru, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of the Government of India whose vision is to ‘harness space technology for national development while pursuing space science research and planetary exploration. Earlier, ISRO was known as the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR), which was formed under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in 1962. The ISRO logo shows the initials given in both Hindi (Devanagari script) and English forms and a rocket-like symbol with wings can be seen launching upwards through them.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.

14 CORPS The 14 Corps of the Indian Army is a part of the Army’s Udhampur-based Northern Command. It was raised after the Kargil War in 1999, to control troops in Ladakh. It currently consists of 3rd Infantry Division. The division was created in October 1962 in Ladakh. It fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Until 1990, it was headquartered at Kohima under III Corps. It is headquartered at Kumbathang, near Kargil. The sleeve patch of this Corps is red horizontal striped patch intersected with a white stripe in the background with two crossed torches (Vajra) with trident at their ends and wand in the foreground.

BISWA BANGLA BISWABIDYALAY Biswa Bangla Biswabidyalay (BBB) was established in 2020 as a liberal arts university in Bolpur, West Bengal. This university is also known as Bolpur University or Biswa Bangla University. The emblem of the university has an open book with its acronym in Bengali written on it and crested by a blue circle depicting a human being and supported by the nib of a pen. MAHARISHI DAYANAND SARASWATI UNIVERSITY The emblem of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) houses the motifs of a rising sun from the hills, a swan on water, an open book, its year of establishment and its name. The yellow circular border is inscribed with its name and place in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः’ (Shloka 39, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘He who has Mastered his Senses, is Exclusively Devoted to his Practice and is Full of Faith, Attains Knowledge’.
