The first part has a grand entrance which takes the students to the pages of the books of knowledge; in the second part the pages of a book become the building blocks of profession and life and this part has its motto ‘To Know, To Be, To Do’. The name of the university is placed alongside. All these are placed in a rectangle.

At the bottom, a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘‘கற்றனைத் தூறும் அறிவு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 396, Thirukkural) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed is placed on the seal. Athiyaman and Avvaiyar refer to history and heritage; the book, sun and the humans refer to education and educational achievement; the tree refers to nature, sustenance and growth; the computer refers to technology; and the dam refers to the local landmark.
