The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is admirably positioned as the closest Public Sector Undertaking of the Ministry of Railways, which serves multitude of passengers availing rail and allied passenger services, including rail catering and hospitality, rail and non rail based tourism and rail ticketing services on the internet. IRCTC also handles the catering, tourism and online ticketing operations of the Indian Railways. Its tagline is ‘Lifeline of the Nation’.
