SUMITOMO CHEMICAL INDIA LTD.
Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd. (SCIL) (CIN: L24110MH2000PLC124224) manufactures, imports and markets products for crop protection, grain fumigation, rodent control, bio pesticides, environmental health, professional pest control and feed additives for use in India. SCIL has also marked its presence in Africa and several other geographies of the world. Its conventional chemistry products are sourced from its parent, Sumitomo Chemical Company and biological products are sourced from USA based subsidiary, Valent Biosciences LLC. The Igeta mark, which is the centrepiece of the Sumitomo logo, was registered as the trademark in 1914. The word ‘igeta’ means ‘well framed’. According to the corporate legend, the emblem started to be used as a symbol of spring when Riemon Soga (1572 - 1636), Masatomo’s brother-in-law, opened Izumiya (‘spring shop’), a copper refining and crafting shop, in Kyoto. In the logo of the Sumitomo Group, the Igeta mark is white, while the background is black. In the logo of Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd., it is red on the white background. Its name is written along with the mark in capital letters, with ‘I’ is crested with the Igeta mark.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them.
