The Indian Institute of Forest Management is a sectoral management institute, which constantly endeavours to evolve knowledge useful for the managers in the area of forest, environment and natural resources management and allied sectors. Its logo is a wordmark created using its acronym in green and black lowercase sans serif bold font. The ‘f’ is treated like a tree with abstract green foliage. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘प्रगते मूलम प्रक्रुति:’meaning ‘Nature is the Root of Progress’ is placed below the logo.
