DD NEWS

DD News is the only terrestrial cum satellite news channel of the country. DD News channel was launched on November 3, 2003 by converting DD Metro into a twenty four hours news channel. Its satellite footprint is available across the country. DD News terrestrial reach is 49 percent by population and 25 percent by area of the country. DD News is currently producing news content in Hindi, English, Urdu and Sanskrit languages. The red logo has its name written in two parts with DD on top in sans serif bold and below that in a red stadium ‘NEWS’ is written in sans serif bold in white. The logo is straight, direct and bold. This is one of the strongest logos of a government organisation I have come across in India.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is the thirty-first institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016. Its circular emblem has a ‘Poorna Kumbham’ or ‘Kalasha’ which means ‘Full or Complete Vessel’ when the pot is referred to as the Kalasha. The Purna-Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and 'Source of Life' in the Vedas. Purna-Kumbha is a Vedic motif, known from the time of Rigveda. These are ensconced in a circle, which is closed by a circular gear wheel, on which the name of the institute in Hindi and English and its tagline ‘श्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Hard Work Triumphs’ are written.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KURUKSHETRA National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, NIT Kurukshetra was founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its brown colour emblem is a gear wheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) is one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Karnataka. Established in 1997. VVCE is an autonomous institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Its emblem is a gearwheel with sixteen teeth in a dark violet colour encompassing a yellow border and a light green circle. The border carries the name of the college. The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.

In 2002, the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India conferred the 'Deemed to be University' status on Symbiosis.
