Set-up in 1999, Starmark is owned by Eastern India’s leading business house, the Emami Group. Initially promoted in collaboration with Landmark, Starmark became an Emami Group company when it was merged with Emami Frank Ross Ltd, a group company of Emami, in 2007. Frank Ross pharmacy is one of Kolkata’s leading pharmacy chains. The Emami Group has an enviable portfolio of household brand names such as BoroPlus, Navratna, Fair and Handsome, Zandu Balm, Mentho Plus Balm, Fast Relief and Kesh King. Its logo is the wordmark of its name written in magenta and blue hairline serif font with a shooting star forming the crest. The name of the group which runs the venture is written at the bottom.

Its emblem has a red pot of nectar spewing out from a red vessel which has its motto ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11, written on and supported by the blue globe with latitudinal and longitudinal lines. GOA UNIVERSITY Goa University (GU) has three campuses in Panaji, Margao and Vasco da Gama. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when the Portuguese established the first university courses in Goa.
