Set-up in 1999, Starmark is owned by Eastern India’s leading business house, the Emami Group. Initially promoted in collaboration with Landmark, Starmark became an Emami Group company when it was merged with Emami Frank Ross Ltd, a group company of Emami, in 2007. Frank Ross pharmacy is one of Kolkata’s leading pharmacy chains. The Emami Group has an enviable portfolio of household brand names such as BoroPlus, Navratna, Fair and Handsome, Zandu Balm, Mentho Plus Balm, Fast Relief and Kesh King. Its logo is the wordmark of its name written in magenta and blue hairline serif font with a shooting star forming the crest. The name of the group which runs the venture is written at the bottom.

Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. ARMY AIR DEFENCE In 1994, after bifurcation of Air Defence Artillery from the Regiment of Artillery, a committee was set up for selection of the corps crest. The committee appointed National Institute of Design (NID), at Ahmedabad, for designing the AAD crest. Mr Vijay Singh designed the crest. The crest of Corps of Army Air Defence reflects the neo-facet of Army Air Defence. The crest embellished in hues of silver and gold comprises a missile with radar antennae on either side. The fiery exhaust of the missile and the radar radiations emitting outward signify the ever readiness and omni-competence of the Army Air Defence gunners. The crest is emblazoned with the Corps motto, ‘Akashe Shatrun Jahi’ meaning ‘Kill the Enemy in the Sky’ which is engraved in Devanagri script on the scroll placed below. The Corps changed its designation, from Air Defence Artillery to Army Air Defence, with effect from  April 18, 2005.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.

EMBLEM OF KERALA The State emblem of Kerala is derived from the traditional Travancore state emblem, the conch-shell Sri Padmanhnabha Shanka is surrounded by a garland. The two elephants guarding the state and national insignias and is a derivative of Royal Coat of Arms of Kingdom of Travancore. The elephant denotes the supremacy and power and the state has the largest number of captivated elephants. The central part of the emblem carries Sree Padmanabha's Shankhu.
