MINISTRY OF WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT

An apex body of the Government of India, the Ministry of Women and Child Development works with the mandate of formulation and administration of rules and regulations and laws related to women and child development in India. It came into existence, as a separate Ministry, from January 30, 2006. The Ministry’s logo has two icons representing a woman and a child with open arms, which is a depiction of embracing change and growth. The logo has a tagline – ‘Towards a New Dawn’, which shows development to a new stage. The Ministry’s name is placed at the bottom of the logo.
