The violet and yellow ochre emblem of Sengunthar Engineering College (SECT) features a shield housing the motifs of a traditional lamp placed above a lotus, a computer, a factory, electrical transmission towers, a satellite dish and the landmark hill on which the Tiruchengode Ardhanareeswarar Temple is located. The motifs are surmounted by a banner inscribed with the name of the temple and supported by a banner inscribed with its motto ‘Education Edification Elevation’. The shield stands for safety, protection, readiness to overcome difficulties, power, valiance and cooperation; lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the lamp refers to light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the other motifs represent different domains of engineering education.
