SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY
Singhania University was established under the Ordinance 6 of 2007 of Government of Rajasthan by D. C. Singhania. The university was inaugurated on October 21, 2007 by its founder. The circular blue colour logo of the university has a flying pigeon placed atop the year of establishment ‘2007’ ensconced by a blue border which carries the name of the university and its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’. The flying pigeon signifies fertility and prosperity, fortune, luck and transformation. The bird also symbolises persistence, harmony, wellbeing, mercy, forgiveness and freedom. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

GIRIDIH COLLEGE, GIRIDIH The emblem of Giridih College, Giridih features a circle with four panels housing the motifs of a banyan tree, rising sun, a miner with a pickaxe and a range of mountains supported by a pair of stalks of grain. The name of the college and its motto are written in Devanagari on a circular border around the motifs. The motto reads in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती श्रुतिमहती महीयताम्’ (Abhigyanshakuntalam, Mahakavi Kalidas) meaning ‘May Saraswathi Bless Increasing Glory of the Scholars’.
