PUNJAB POLICE
The Punjab Police is responsible for policing in the State of Punjab in India. Mission of Punjab Police is the prevention and detection of crime, maintenance of law and order and enforcement of the Constitution of India with an eye on technological advancement and human rights.The India Punjab Police arms show the capitals ‘PP’ acronym for Punjab Police, crested by the Asoka capital and surrounded by a garland. Below is a motto in Gurmukhi, ‘ਸ਼ਭ ਕਰਮਨ ਤ ਕਬਹ. ਮਾ ਟਰ’ meaning ‘I may Never Deviate from Doing a Good Deed’.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
