SUPREME COURT OF INDIA
The emblem of Supreme Court of India (SCI) has Sarnath Lion on a pedestal upholding Dharmachakra which is supported by a slogan on a banner. Its design is reproduced from the wheel that appears on the abacus of the Sarnath Lion capital of Ashoka with 32 spokes. The inscription at the bottom in a white banner in Sanskrit ‘यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः’ (13.153.39, Mahabharata) means - ‘Where is Righteousness, There is Victory’. It is also referred to - as the wheel of righteousness, encompassing truth, goodness and equity.

The institute was accorded the status of a university under Gujarat State Act No. 8 of 2009. The emblem of the university has a pictorial and a wordmark. The pictorial has the letter ‘C’ written stylistically holding an orange dot in its counter and it is supported by a pair of white swooshes on a blue quadrilateral. On its right its acronym is written in blue serif typeface and its name is written below that. The colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour orange signifies energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

CENTRAL BOARD OF DIRECT TAXES The Central Board of Direct Taxes is a statutory authority functioning under the Central Board of Revenue Act, 1963 and it is dealing with matters relating to levy and collection of direct taxes. The emblem of CBDT has the national emblem in blue colour, supported by green laurel. At the bottom on a red banner its motto in Sanskrit 'कोश मुलो दण्डः' meaning 'Treasury or Revenue is the Backbone of Administration'.

THE I.K. GUJRAL PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established by an Act of State Legislature on January 16, 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the State. It got its current name in 2015. The red and blue emblem of the university has a structure of an atom with a sun placed in the centre and supported at the bottom by a pair of hands on a blue circle, meaning the nourish, support and propagate technical and scientific education. It is ensconced in a red border which bears the name of the university in Punjabi and English. Below this on a red banner the name of the district ‘Kapurthala’ in which the university is located is written. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration; the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity and the colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. Lotus symbolises knowledge, wisdom and purity and the gear wheel symbolises energy, movement, advancement and progress.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh established the Dravidian University in 1997 at the tri-lingual junction, Kuppam in Chittoor District through a Legislature Act of Andhra Pradesh and conceived as an interstate institution. GOA UNIVERSITY Goa University (GU) has three campuses in Panaji, Margao and Vasco da Gama. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when the Portuguese established the first university courses in Goa. However, it wasn't until after Goa was annexed by India that the university was consolidated, with the University of Mumbai establishing the Centre for Postgraduate Instruction and Research (CPIR) in Panaji in 1962. The emblem of the university has three layers of concentric circles of orange, light orange and a circle consists of motifs of Mount Kailas with ‘ॐ’ inscribed on; a green valley; typical Buddhist monastery; a stupa; its acronym ‘SSJU’ and an open book supporting all.
