SUPREME COURT OF INDIA
The emblem of Supreme Court of India (SCI) has Sarnath Lion on a pedestal upholding Dharmachakra which is supported by a slogan on a banner. Its design is reproduced from the wheel that appears on the abacus of the Sarnath Lion capital of Ashoka with 32 spokes. The inscription at the bottom in a white banner in Sanskrit ‘यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः’ (13.153.39, Mahabharata) means - ‘Where is Righteousness, There is Victory’. It is also referred to - as the wheel of righteousness, encompassing truth, goodness and equity.

In the border at the top 'ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ' in Kannada  meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS Maha Vidyapeetha’ are written. These are further circumscribed by three pairs of two overlapping arrows in orange and blue forming a revolving pattern also forming a hexagon. The emblem denotes constant evolution and growth. The colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
