BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the national standards body of India became functional as a statutory body under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 with effect from April 1, 1987 taking over staff, assets and liabilities of Indian Standards Institution established in 1947. The Bureau is promoting and nurturing the standardisation movement in the country. Its logo has dark blue triangle which protects the red solid circle. This circle also sits exactly above the scale point, below which the motto in Sanskrit ‘Manakaha Pathapradarshakaha’ meaning ‘Standards for Humanity’ is written.

DIGILOCKER DigiLocker is an online service provided by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India under its Digital India initiative. DigiLocker provides an account in cloud to every Indian citizen to access authentic documents and certificates such as driving licence, vehicle registration, academic mark list in digital format from the original issuers of these certificates. It also provides one GB storage space to each account to upload scanned copies of legacy documents. Its emblem in purple colour has a cloud with a keyhole with a background of a document. Its name is written alongside and its tag line is written below the name.

The gearwheel ; the chinar leaf refers to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir; the atom refers to science, engineering and technology; the torches with flames are emblems of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

JHARKHAND GOVERNMENT TOOL ROOM, DUMKA (GTRTC DUMKA) The emblem of Jharkhand Government Tool Room, Dumka (GTRTC Dumka) features a blue gearwheel housing the motifs of a spanner with a pallet knife, a pair of gear wheels and a computer. The gearwheel is ensconced by a circular border with brown outlines inscribed with the name and place of the college. The seal is supported by a pair of laurels. The motto of the college in Sanskrit in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written on a green banner with red outlines. The gearwheel denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines offered by the college.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted. Its name is written in Urdu atop the emblem on a banner; written in Devanagari on a banner above the logo and in English at its bottom. The book represents knowledge and education; the atom denotes science and the candle denotes light and guidance to discover the unknown.

GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, BIJBEHARA (GDC BIJBEHARA) The emblem of Government Degree College, Bijbehara (GDC Bijbehara) features a green chinar leaf supporting an open book inscribed with an Arabic text ‘خَيْرُ جَلِيسٍ فِي الزَّمَانِ كِتَابُ’, which translates to ‘The Best Companion in Time is a Book’ and supporting a lighted candle and ensconced by a yellow circular border inscribed with the name, place and motto of the college. The motto in Urdu ‘زندگی شمع کی صورت ہو خدایا میری’, which translates to ‘O God! May My Life Be Like That of a Candle’. The chinar leaf refers to Jammu and Kashmir, the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the lighted candle symbolises enlightenment and the removal of darkness (ignorance), representing how knowledge guides a student's path and spreads light into society.

SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed. The banyan tree symbolises strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity; the sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the open book denotes knowledge, education, wisdom and learning and horns, drum and crests of millets denote tribal culture and food.

SARVA HARYANA GRAMIN BANK Sarva Haryana Gramin Bank (SHGB), Haryana’s Apna Bank (हरियाणा का अपना बैंक) came to existence on November 29, 2013 under RRB Act 1976, out of amalgamation of Haryana Gramin Bank (Sponsored by PNB) and Gurgaon Gramin Bank (Sponsored by Syndicate Bank), through gazette notification No. S.O. 3536(E), dated November 29, 2013 by the Government of India and became the sole Regional Rural Bank of the State with Headquarter at Rohtak. The emblem of the bank has a monogram of its acronym placed inside a green gear wheel supported on either side by a crown of wheat, which are ensconced in a brown sprocket wheel.
