A non-government, not-for-profit organisation, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) acts as an association of business organisations in India. FICCI was established by GD Birla and Purushottam Das Thakurdas in 1927, on the advice of Mahatma Gandhi. The FICCI logo is an acronym of the full name of the organisation. The letters are surrounded by four different colours, out of which two colours represent the India flag.
