The Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir is the main developmental, promotional and regulatory arm of the J&K Government with respect to promotion of tourism in the Union Territory(UT). Its emblem in the form of a pictorial of a house boat floating on a lake supported by a mountain in the background. These symbolise Himalayas and the houseboats on Dal Lake.

THE I.K. GUJRAL PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established by an Act of State Legislature on January 16, 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the State. It got its current name in 2015. The red and blue emblem of the university has a structure of an atom with a sun placed in the centre and supported at the bottom by a pair of hands on a blue circle, meaning the nourish, support and propagate technical and scientific education. It is ensconced in a red border which bears the name of the university in Punjabi and English. Below this on a red banner the name of the district ‘Kapurthala’ in which the university is located is written. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration; the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity and the colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

DRAVIDIAN UNIVERSITY The Dravidian family of languages, which includes more than twenty seven tongues, is the most ancient living language family of the world. The Government of Andhra Pradesh established the Dravidian University in 1997 at the tri-lingual junction, Kuppam in Chittoor District through a Legislature Act of Andhra Pradesh and conceived as an interstate institution. The emblem of the university is designed to indicate its main objectives and ideals. The open book symbolises knowledge accessible to all. The popular maxim ‘Knowledge is Power’ found at the top of the open book indicates supreme place given to knowledge. Lotus is a symbol of the seat of learning and prosperity and the blossomed lotus symbolises various facets of knowledge. SHRI RAMSWAROOP MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY  Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) was established by Uttar Pradesh State Government ACT 1 of 2012. SRMU is built upon the excellence of Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges (SRMGPC) in engineering and business education. Its emblem has a red pot of nectar spewing out from a red vessel which has its motto ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11, written on and supported by the blue globe with latitudinal and longitudinal lines. The spewed nectar falls as drops for the stakeholders benefit. These are ensconced in a border on which its name and the State is inscribed. The Amrit or nectar is the source of immortality, meaning the university offers the nectar of knowledge, which is the source of immortality.

GOA UNIVERSITY Goa University (GU) has three campuses in Panaji, Margao and Vasco da Gama. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when the Portuguese established the first university courses in Goa. However, it wasn't until after Goa was annexed by India that the university was consolidated, with the University of Mumbai establishing the Centre for Postgraduate Instruction and Research (CPIR) in Panaji in 1962. The present university was established under the Goa University Act of 1984 (Act No. 7 of 1984) and commenced operations on June 1, 1985 replacing the CPIR.
