INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MASS COMMUNICATIONS

Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) was inaugurated on August 17, 1965. In 1969, a major international training programme, the Post-graduate Diploma Course in Journalism for Developing Countries, for middle level working journalists from Afro-Asian countries, was started. IIMC has regional centres in Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amaravati, Jammu & Kashmir and Kottayam. Its emblem was revised to include the tagline in January 2022. The revised logo carries the tagline ‘आ नो भद्रा: क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वत:’ along with the name of IIMC, which means ‘Let Noble Thoughts Come to Me From All Directions'. The pictorial has a motif which shows a set of blue colour lines depicting different waves (sound, light, etc.) in four sets placed in four positions in a circle.
