EX-SERVICEMEN CONTRIBUTORY HEALTH SCHEME

Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) was launched with effect from April 1, 2003. The Scheme aims to provide allopathic and AYUSH medicare to ex-servicemen pensioners and their dependents through a network of ECHS Polyclinics, Service medical facilities, government hospitals, empanelled private hospitals/specified Government AYUSH hospitals spread across the country. The insignia of ECHS has a shield divided in three parts horizontally by the colours of army, navy and air force namely red, blue and light blue has a pair of crossed swords, an anchor and an eagle crested by a the National Emblem. At the bottom, on a banner the name of the organisation is written.

UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. The name of the university is written on A banner at the bottom. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’.
