INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT KOZHIKODE

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) was set up in 1996 by the Government of India in collaboration with the State Government of Kerala. Its circular emblem in the form of a gear wheel has a bow and arrow in the top half - symbolising aiming high and reaching the target through effort; a water body with a boat and a few coconut trees - symbolising Kerala and an open book - symbolising knowledge and wisdom, in the bottom half the name of the institute is written around the gear wheel. The motto of the institute ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ meaning (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’.
