GOKHALE INSTITUTE OF POLITICS AND ECONOMICS

The Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPS), Pune, was established in 1930 by the Servants of India Society (SIS). It is the oldest research and training institute in economics in the country. Gokhale was the one who founded the Servants of India Society in 1905. In recognition of its contribution to higher learning and research in Economics, the Institute was awarded the status of institution 'Deemed to be a University', in 1993. The logo of the university has a circular emblem with a portrait of Gopal Krishna Gokhale with its motto ‘Education: An Ennobling Influence’ around, has a wordmark of its name and its status is at its right.

KONERU LAKSHMAIAH EDUCATION FOUNDATION Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF) has been deemed to be university since 2009. Earlier it was known as Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLCE) and Koneru Lakshmaiah University, located in Vaddeswaram, Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh. The red and blue emblem of the foundation has a gear wheel with twelve teeth of which nine bear the symbols of nine planets. It houses the motifs of a factory, atomic symbol, a bridge and a transmission tower within a circle. There is a border around the circle bearing its name and its motto ‘Knowledge Leadership Universality’. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure. The other motifs denote the fields of engineering the university offers to the students. The icons of nine planets may signify the relevance and wishes of the university to benefit from their movements.

POOJYA DODDAPPA APPA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (PDA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING) The emblem of Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering (PDA College of Engineering) features gearwheel inscribed with its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या गुरूणां गुरुः’ (Guru Vishnu Sharma, Hitopdesha) meaning ‘Education is the Teacher of the Teachers’ inscribed on it;  holding an image of a lighthouse above water.
