The emblem of Ghousia College of Engineering (GCE) features a minaret of a mosque with a crescent, a bridge, a pair of gear wheels, an electrical transmission tower and its motto ‘قرأ باسم ربك’ which is the first verse of Surah Al-Alaq (Chapter 96) of the Quran, meaning ‘Read in the Name of Your Lord’ placed within a shape of an Islamic arch and supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the college. The arch and minaret signify the religious affiliation and the divine grace and blessings; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.

MANIPUR UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE The Manipur University of Culture (MUC) was established in 2015 by the Government of Manipur through the Manipur University of Culture Bill, 2015. The university started its academic sessions from September 20, 2016. Currently it offers graduate courses in  dance, music, sankirtana, Umang Lai Haraoba, Thang-Ta, theatre, tribal studies and visual arts and it has plans to offer postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the coming years. The university’s emblem has eight intersecting leaf-like ovals forming the base for a circular seal carrying its name and motif.
