The emblem of Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) in grey, bluish green and orange has a pictorial of helical DNA structure crested by its motto in Sanskrit. Alongside its name is written in serif capitals. The motto ‘विज्ञानं ब्रह्म’ (Verse 1, Chapter 5, Bhrigu Valli, Taittiriya Upanishad) meaning ‘Knowledge is Eternal’. The DNA structure denotes the the domain of knowledge of the university; the colour bluish green symbolises being cool, calmness and peace; the colour grey symbolises strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
