The motto in Sanskrit ‘सत्यं शिवं सुन्दरम्’ is inscribed below the lotus defines the purpose and existence of life which is love of beauty, goodness and intellectual curiosity.

Engineering education in BHU started in 1919 with the establishment of Banaras Engineering College (BENCO).
