The red and blue emblem of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) has a bud of a lotus supported by stems and has its motto in Sanskrit ‘स्वाध्यायः परमं तपः’ meaning ‘Self-study is Supreme Penance’ written on its outline. Its acronym is written in blue and below that its motto 'Education for All’ is written in red. The lotus denotes red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
