The emblem of GSFC University (GSFCU) has a pictorial in which a banyan tree is placed in a yellow circle and supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘बुद्धिज्ञानेन शुद्धयति’ (226, Part 1, Sri Vaikhanasa Grihya Sutra) meaning ‘Wisdom is Purified by Knowledge’. On the right its name is written in sans serif  and below this its slogan ‘Education Re-envisioned’ is written. The banyan tree symbolises strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity and the colour yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

14 CORPS The 14 Corps of the Indian Army is a part of the Army’s Udhampur-based Northern Command. It was raised after the Kargil War in 1999, to control troops in Ladakh. It currently consists of 3rd Infantry Division. The division was created in October 1962 in Ladakh. It fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Until 1990, it was headquartered at Kohima under III Corps. It is headquartered at Kumbathang, near Kargil. The sleeve patch of this Corps is red horizontal striped patch intersected with a white stripe in the background with two crossed torches (Vajra) with trident at their ends and wand in the foreground.

Its emblem is an orange squircle with its acronym ‘Cmm’ as a monogram in white, light blue and violet colours. It is supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वाणी स्वास्थ्य मूलम्’ meaning ‘Health is the Root of Everything’. On the top right corner is the Rod of Aesculapius (also called Asklepios), the ancient mythical god of medicine. Asklepios may have been a real person who was renowned for his gentle remedies and humane treatment of the mentally ill.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.

CIPET has 15 centres at Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Hajipur, Haldia, Jaipur, Imphal, Lucknow, Mysore and Panipat. It has adopted a new logo in 2018 selected through a competition. This has ‘प’ and ‘P’ as a monogram in orange and green crested on right top with a four petalled leaf. This look like a mould for injection and the leaf symbolises environment consciousness. Its acronym CIPET is written in Devanagari and English at the bottom and below that is its motto ‘probe, practice, perform, Plastics’ in dark blue.

The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and laurels signify victory, accomplishment, honour, recognition, immortality, peace and harmony. A pair of lions signifies courage, confidence and pride and the red cross symbolises a symbol of protection and a sign that help is at hand.
