PT. RAVISHANKAR SHUKLA UNIVERSITY
PT. RAVISHANKAR SHUKLA UNIVERSITY |
The emblem of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) has a Buddhist stupa placed on a backdrop of water supported by a halo of a rising sun. At the bottom, these are supported by a pair of laurels. The name of the university is written in Devanagari and English along the circumference of the seal. Below the seal, on a yellow banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘अग्ने नय सुपथा राये’ (Verse 18, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Oh God Agni, lead by the Good Path to the Felicity’ is written. The stupa and the water symbolise the local culture and geography; the sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
