PANDIT SUNDARLAL SHARMA (OPEN) UNIVERSITY

The emblem of Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University (PSSOU) has the motif of Shree Rangnath Temple, which is submerged in Bhakra Dam with a map of the State of Chhattisgarh forming the backdrop on a blue circle. These are ensconced by an orange circular border, on which its name is inscribed in Devanagari. This border has an ornamental decoration in green colour. At the bottom, on a brown banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘स्वाध्यायः परमं तपः’ meaning ‘Self-study is the Supreme Austerity’ is written. The motif of the temple represents the State’s culture and history.
