The circular emblem of Vellore District Printers Association has the motif of the Vellore Fort with Sri Jalakandeswarar Temple supported by a motif of three humans forming a group and a printer’s registration mark. The motifs represent the city of Vellore, the association of printers and the printing industry respectively. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border inscribed with its name. The emblem is supported by a blue banner bearing its tagline ‘Grow With Us’.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
