ADANI UNIVERSITY The Adani Group, one of India’s largest transport and utility infrastructure conglomerates with inspiration from the infrastructure visionaries of India – Shrimati and Shri Gautambhai Adani established the Adani University in Gujarat. With the major thrust on education for transformation, Adani University is engaged in building a state‑of‑the‑art futuristic institution for education, training, and research that shall disseminate managerial and technological knowledge of the highest value through impactful industry engagement and multidisciplinary research. Five thrust areas, infrastructure, technology, healthcare, energy and defence are the focus of university programmes, while the approach is broad and complementary. PUNJAB ENGINEERING COLLEGE Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) (PEC) started in Lahore as Mugalpura Engineering College in 1921. The institute became Deemed University in 2003 through a MHRD notification and rechristened as PEC University of Technology in 2009. The emblem of the university is its acronym created using yellow sans serif bold font. The top horizontal stroke of ‘E’ is tilting upwards and is in red colour indicating inquisitiveness and ready to go higher. Below the acronym its motto ‘Explore Innovation Excel’ is written in red. The emblem is trendy, bold and attractive. PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab on July 8, 1963. Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of this university in February 1970 and HP Krishi Vishvavidalya established at Palampur campus in July 1970 by Acts of Parliament. PUNJABI UNIVERSITY Punjab Assembly established the Punjabi University, Patiala under the Punjab Act No. 35 of 1961. Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India laid the foundation of Punjabi University on June 24, 1962. The emblem of the university has an open book supported by flowing rivers of Punjab. The motto of the university is written on the book in Punjabi ‘ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ’ (Ang 356.2, Hukumnama) ) meaning ‘Contemplate and Reflect upon Knowledge and You will Become a Benefactor to Others’. PURNEA UNIVERSITY Purnea University, Purnia was carved out of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura on March 18, 2018 by an act of Bihar Assembly. The circular emblem of the university has a lotus leaf supporting an open book, a lotus and a rising sun crested by three motifs of humans. These have been circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English divided by a pair of fish. RABINDRANATH TAGORE UNIVERSITY   Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU)is a State University located in Hojai in Assam. The university was established by Rabindranath Tagore University Bill, 2017 which was passed by the Government of Assam on September 7, 2017. It was created by upgrading the Hojai College of Hojai. The emblem of the university has an open book supporting a traditional lamp placed in the background of an Assamese text. These are ensconced by a blue border which carries its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge Enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11. The emblem of the university has a shield divided into four quadrants alternating maroon and gold colours holding an open book and a horse. MAHARISHI MARKANDESHWAR UNIVERSITY Maharishi Markandeshwar University Trust established the Maharishi Markandeshwar University at Sadopur-Ambala. The emblem of the university has an oval shaped panel with a red colour border and a red banner at the bottom of the oval. There is an image of Bhakta Markandeya hugging a Shiv Ling with a halo around. This is ensconced in a red border on which the name of the university is inscribed. AISECT UNIVERSITY, HAZARIBAG The government of Jharkhand promulgated the formation of AISECT University, Hazaribag on May 16, 2016. All Indian Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT), established thirty one years back with a novel concept of spreading computer literacy and technology training in rural mass in their mother tongue. Dr. C V Raman University at Bilaspur, AISECT University at Patna, AISECT University at Jharkhand and AISECT University at Hazaribag were set up by AISECT. The emblem of the university has a flower-like pattern created with human icons in red, blue and yellow. The name of the university and place are placed on its right with bold sans serif and serif fonts.

AIPH UNIVERSITY The Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH) came into being in 2008 in the country. AIPH started a flagship programme, Master of Public Health (MPH) under an Indo-US partnership in 2010, which became self sufficient in 2015. These exceptional educational and outstanding research programmes resulted in getting AIPH a university status through state legislature in 2018.
