LINGAYA’S VIDYAPEETH

Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth was established by Lingaya’s Group as  a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. Lingaya's Institute of Management and Technology (LIMAT), an engineering institute, was established in 1998 with the approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The emblem of the university has a torch with orange flames on a silver colour base. Below this the name of the university is written in black thin fine serif font and below this its motto ‘Choose to Know’ is written. At the bottom two swooshes are placed. The torch with flame symbolises is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the colour orange signifies energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

ANDHRA PRADESH GRAMEENA VIKAS BANK Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB), a Regional Rural Bank (RRB) was established in the year 2006 under an act of Parliament by amalgamating Manjeera Grameena Bank (Medak); Sangameshwara Grameena Bank (Mahabubnagar); Kakatiya Grameena Bank (Warangal); Nagarjuna Grameena Bank (Khammam and Nalgonda) and Sri Visakha Grameena Bank (Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam) with head office at Hanamkonda, Warangal (Urban District) sponsored by State Bank of India is operating in twenty one districts of Telangana State and three districts of Andhra Pradesh. INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES CENTRES AUTHORITY The circular emblem of International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) has its initials ‘IFSCA’ in blue sans serif with the horizontal stroke of ‘F’ in National Tricolours placed on a grey coloured globe ensconced by a white circular border with a pair of grey outlines  inscribed with its name. The globe refers to the international nature of the Authority and the tricolour stroke refers to Bharat or India.

The name of the college is written above and below the motifs and the assemblage is ensconced by  orange and green circular outlines. The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the cross is the primary symbol of Christianity, representing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, his victory over sin and death, and his ultimate sacrifice for humanity; the star represents perfect harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
