LINGAYA’S VIDYAPEETH

Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth was established by Lingaya’s Group as  a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. Lingaya's Institute of Management and Technology (LIMAT), an engineering institute, was established in 1998 with the approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The emblem of the university has a torch with orange flames on a silver colour base. Below this the name of the university is written in black thin fine serif font and below this its motto ‘Choose to Know’ is written. At the bottom two swooshes are placed. The torch with flame symbolises is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the colour orange signifies energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

Below the shield its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written. At the right the name of the university is written in sanserif bold and thin typeface in black. Below these, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘In the Service of  Humanity’ is written. The motifs are surmounted by its name.
