The emblem of A. P. Shah Institute of Technology (APSIT) which is managed by the Parshvanath Charitable Trust. The symbolism of the logo combines elements of Jainism with modern technology and engineering. The emblem features a person in a meditative pose, which is a common representation of a Tirthankara, a spiritual teacher in Jainism. This reflects that the college is a Jain religious minority institution. The name ‘Parshvanath’ also refers to the 23rd Tirthankara. The symbols surrounding the central figure represent various fields of technology and engineering taught at the institute. These include an atom (science, physics), a gear (mechanical engineering), a rocket (aerospace or mechanical engineering), and a structure resembling a drilling rig (civil or mechanical engineering). The combination of the meditative figure with technological symbols suggests a balance between spiritual and ethical values and the pursuit of scientific and technological knowledge for the betterment of society.

INDIAN GRAPE PROCESSING BOARD Keeping the above in mind and to co-ordinate the efforts for promotion and development of the wine industry in India in close association with industry, producers and other stakeholders, the Union Cabinet in its meeting held on January 2, 2009 gave its approval for the establishment of the Indian Grape Processing Board (IGPB) under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Board has its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra that is close to the principal grape growing and processing areas in the country.
