The emblem of Devi Mahalaxmi College of Engineering and Technology (DMCET) features the motifs of a satellite, power transmission towers, a crane, a laptop, nib of a pen and an open book ensconced by an oval border inscribed with the name of the college. The seal is supported by a pair of laurels. The nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the book refers to knowledge, education, knowledge and wisdom; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
