The emblem of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon (SSGMCE) features an image of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and placed on a gearwheel. This assemblage is supported by the emblem of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj with the letter ‘S’ depicted as Sudarshan Chakra placed on a glowing light. A pair of wings support the Sant’s seal. All the elements are placed over a yellow circle border inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया अमृतं अशनुते’ (Verse 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Knowledge Enjoys Immortality’. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure. The wings symbolise power, freedom, and authority, divine presence, protection, spiritual ascent, or inner balance.

TOBACCO BOARD The Tobacco Board was constituted as a statutory body on January 1, 1976 under Section (4) of the Tobacco Act, 1975. The Board is headed by a chairman with headquarters at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and is responsible for the development of the tobacco industry. The primary functions of the Board include regulating the production and curing of Virginia Tobacco; keeping a constant watch on the Virginia Tobacco market in India and abroad; ensuring fair and remunerative prices to growers; maintaining and improving existing markets and developing new markets abroad by devising appropriate marketing strategies. Its emblem has two green coloured eccentric circles touching each other at the bottom and in their middle vertically a leaf of tobacco in yellow colour is positioned. It has its name written in Devanagari and English on its top and bottom.

NATIONAL BANK FOR FINANCING INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEVELOPMENT The need for establishing a dedicated financial institution to address the long-term infrastructure financing requirements in India was realised considering the nation’s GDP growth objectives and the role of infrastructure development towards the same. In response to this need, the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development Act, 2021 was introduced, as it denotes the return of Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) in the country after a few decades. The Act subsequently received the assent of the President on March 28, 2021 and has come into force effective April 19, 2021. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vide its letter dated March 8, 2022 has advised that NaBFID shall be regulated and supervised by RBI as an All India Financial Institution (AIFI) under sections 45L and 45N of the RBI Act, 1934, respectively. Its logo is a wordmark of its acronym in blue with ‘a’ in lowercase.

THE JAMMU & KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY India's first Light Infantry was born out of the peoples' response in 1947, to the invasion of Kashmir by Pakistan. In the difficult days of the invasion, the population formed local defence groups. These were later organised into militias responsible for specific sectors, e.g., Leh, Nubra, Jammu, Punch, etc. Over a period, these were grouped into the Militia battalions. Two of these were later converted into the Ladakh Scouts. The militia battalions operated with skill on the Line of Control (LoC) and in the 1971 Indo-Pak War earned three battle honours. In 1972, the militia battalions were brought on par with the army units, and in 1976 designated the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI). The 8th JAK LI earned great honour by capturing a Pakistani post at 21,000 feet at the Siachen Glacier in 1987.
