The entrance archway refers to transition, new beginnings, and passage from one space to another, representing strength and protection. The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
