The tree is a common symbol for life, growth, strength, and good health; the roots of the tree, depicted as a large green circle, signify a strong foundation or a connection to the earth; the overlapping, textured circles at the base of the tree's roots represent the different facets of an individual's life or the community, all connected and supported by a central foundation (the roots/tree). The use of multiple colours symbolise diversity and different aspects of well-being.
