The emblem of Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur (GCoEC) features a circle of fire flames with the motifs of a factory, power symbol, a set of gears, a bridge and a satellite dish antenna supported by an open book with images of a laptop and a person working on a machine. These are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Devanagari. A pair of laurels support the assemblage on sides; a traditional lamp on lotus crests it. On a banner placed below the seal, the motto of the college ‘Delivering Wisdom Engineers’ is written. The flame of fire denotes divine presence and judgment, transformation and purification, and intense emotion like passion and desire; the motifs in the circle refer to the subject disciplines of engineering; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
